Scam Numero Uno

How can you tell if you are being scammed? Well, my first indication is when you are being asked to buy something that is located out of state and that you are unable to inspect - see this lovely correspondence below.

Okay, so what is wrong here?

  • First of all, car is located outside my geographic area
  • Second of all, the price is ridiculously low, you could sell it to a dealer today for that price, why bother with craigslist at all?
  • Third, no deal involving shipping a car is ever "quick and smooth"

Run, run away from these emails and ads on craigslist.
